Leaf Art: Creative Activity For Kids

Leaves teach children about different textures, colours, and the science of life! Take your kids for a little walk around the neighbourhood. Pick up leaves that have interesting shapes and make leaf art. Now, it’s time to convert them into a work of art! Get your toddler involved in the activity that will make use of your his/her sensorial skills, fine motor skills, and a whole lot of colourful creativity!

This activity will:

  • Increase your child’s creativity and confidence
  • Look great as a living room wall décor
  • Keep your child away from the TV and smartphone

Materials You’ll Need:
  • Leaf
  • Paints
  • Paint brush
  • Coloured paper
  • Water

Instructions for Leaf Art Activity For Kids:
  1. Paint a leaf with different colours.
  2. Place the painted side on coloured paper.
  3. Press the leaf on paper and then carefully remove it.

Voilà! Frame the leaf art! Your child can make many more leaf imprints using the leaves that have fallen!

90% of a child’s permanent foundation for brain development occurs in the early years according to Rauch Foundation. An overuse of gadgets can only stunt this growth and cause a negative impact on the child’s overall development.
If your child is spending more time swiping and scrolling, instead of interaction with the real world, you need to act before it’s too late.
